Lisa Tarry is a recognised sustainability career expert advising recent graduates, career transitioners and experienced sustainability professionals on their journeys into and through the multifaceted sustainability field. She is founder and Managing Director of Turning Green Pty Ltd a career consultancy and recruitment firm in operation since 2008 focused on placing candidates with the skills and experience required to embed sustainability into the core of a business to improve cost efficiencies and drive revenue growth. Lisa has worked in London and Sydney in both a consultancy environment and within corporations managing the talent sourcing requirements for Jones Lang LaSalle, American Express and Caltex.  Her academic qualifications include a diploma in Human Resources from the UK, a Cert IV in Carbon Management and she is set to complete a Masters in Business and Technology in 2012 which has focused on organisational sustainability and sustainable energy management. Frank Hubbard is a Sustainability Advisor with Turning Green, and has comprehensive experience in the sustainability, environmental and safety management fields with more than 30 years experience in corporate, government and consulting roles. His experience includes the hotel, building products, chemicals, finance, construction, transportation, and property management sectors. He combines his extensive management experience with his science and engineering skills and networks, to help organisations improve their performance. Focus areas include helping organisations develop sustainable strategy and brands, improving operational efficiency, and protecting corporate reputation.

In addition to being a well-regarded across the corporate and consulting sectors Frank has an extensive network of industry contacts and maintains an active involvement in community based environmental organisations. He is a long serving Board member of the NSW Environmental Defender’s Office (EDO), a not-for-profit community legal and scientific centre specialising in public interest environmental law and science. He has worked closely with many parts of the NGO sector, participated in the UN Conference on Environment & Development and associated Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro in 1992 and was an Environment Volunteer for the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games.

Anya Solovieva is currently enrolled in a Master of Sustainability at the University of Sydney.  Anya has previously worked in Washington D.C. as an Associate at a leading international development consulting firm. As part of her work she designed the layout for the careers pages of the company website enriching the user experience and improving information delivery.

Having herself transitioned from International Development into sustainability she brings a first hand perspective on what resources are lacking for those wishing to transition into sustainability related careers.  Anya has also provided mentorship and resume reviews for young professionals working in international development through her work with the Society for International Development.  Core skills include, research, market mapping, writing/editing, project management, and maintenance of a vast database of talent.  Contact anya@turninggreen.com.au

Kate Bennett is a contributing editor to the Turning Green e-newsletter which allows her to constantly challenge her capabilities in an environment which promotes free thought, research and development, environmental awareness, personal interaction, diversity and cross-cultural understanding. Kate has a Masters of International Affairs (Environment, Sustainable Development & Risk) Hons which she obtained in Paris; an Advanced Diploma in Freelance Journalism; Certificate IV in Business (Marketing) & Course in Website Marketing & Promotion and a Bachelor of International Studies (Languages).

Kate worked for renewable energy company Airtricity in Naas and since returning to Australia has been working with Oil Search guiding their corporate sustainability initiatives. Turning Green welcome Kate to the team.  kate@turninggreen.com.au

Jodi  Smith holds a Masters of Environmental Science / Law from the University of Sydney, and a Bachelor of International Studies (Globalisation) from UNSW, of which she completed one year of study at McGill University, Montreal, Canada. Jodi now works full-time in the IT industry, and freelances as a writer in the environment space, most notably writing about green jobs for Turning Green Consultants. Throughout university, Jodi interned at the Australian Institute of International Affairs, The Walkley Awards for Journalism, and the Australian Youth Climate Coalition.

Jodi is passionate about environmental preservation, having worked as a PADI Divemaster as well as having done extensive anthropological studies, combined with assisting on UNESCO projects, in the Pacific Islands. Turning Green welcome Jodi to the team jodi@turninggreen.com.au
